Description
Many of us find the concept of forgiveness incredibly difficult. The problem is, while we continue to hold on to our hurts we will never be free of them, and they affect our lives and our health in ways we often don’t understand.
I have had to walk the paths of forgiveness myself, and that hasn’t always been an easy journey. However, it’s only during these last 10 years, as I’ve travelled the world praying for the sick, that I’ve realised how strong the connection between unforgiveness and illness and disease is. The bitterness caused by refusing to forgive (or not knowing how to forgive) causes incredible stress to our body, soul and spirit, and can block the healing and abundant life that God offers to us.
Importantly, forgiveness isn’t just a spiritual issue. During a recent five year period, more than 1000 scientific studies (worldwide) looked specifically at the links between unforgiveness, and physical and mental health.
In this book I share some of my journey, including how God transformed my relationship with my father, address some of the common misconceptions around forgiveness, and provide some insights that I hope will help you move forward. As you read it, my prayer is that you will come to see that forgiveness is not only possible, but also necessary to your wellbeing, in every area of your life.
